Preliminary task evaluation

In evaluation of our preliminary task there are a number of questions that need answering. They're listed below with my answers made from prezi.

Q1: What have you learned during the making of your preliminary task?

Q2: Areas Of Success

Q3: Areas For Development

Q4: How Well Did You Meet The Brief? and Q5: Feedback From Others

Q6: Evaluate Your Contribution To The Group's Work

During the preliminary task I did a large majority of editing and acting yet only a little bit of practicing camera work, but not actually recording any for the task. I was willing to take up any role requested, allowing myself to work effectively in a group with others by being able to do what others did not want to such as acting.

I've gained a variety of skills ranging from being able to communicate well as a group, which I feel is crucial when producing a film, to learning the use of certain camera angles and ensuring match on action. I feel that being able to develop and analyse my skills will help me to improve the quality of my production as time goes on and I gain more experience.

I also feel that we worked well as a group with no conflict and being able to suit everyone's needs. Everyone had an allocated roll and often two rolls which they were willing to do as well as everybody getting a taster of the roles they may not have had much of a chance with.

Finished preliminary task | The Date

We have finished making our preliminary task titled "The Date". The camera work has been done excellently by Rae and Lydia along with acting from both of them. I did the majority of editing but the others have had the chance to help with a lot of it as well.

The rendered and exported final product of our short film is attached below. Enjoy.

Although we have missed out things such as credits and other bits and pieces, it has given us an insight into how delicate and how much there is to creating a successful short film. We have still managed to cover the task given but feel things can also be improved on, setting us a target to achieve.
